My name is Elizabeth Jennis and I am a qualified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a registered nurse specialising in premature and sick neonates. I am listed with the NMC, IBCLE and LCGB and operate in Guildford and the surrounding area.
I qualified as a nurse in 2001 and for the majority of my career have worked in neonatal units in the NHS. After the birth of my first daughter in 2009, I became a La Leche League peer support breastfeeding councillor and supported mothers in clinics in South East London. In 2016 I undertook a specialist course which would enable me to take the IBCLC exam which I successfully passed in 2017. I currently work on SCBU in the Royal Surrey County Hospital and volunteer as a Breastfeeding Advisor in the Royal Surrey post-natal drop-in breastfeeding clinic. I also run a breastfeeding support group alongside the Toddlers group at St John's Church.
I am also a busy mother of three young children each of whom I exclusively breastfed.
